Privacy notice
As of September 2026
This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking services and loads nothing from third parties, with one exception: the video on one case study, which loads nothing from YouTube until you press play. That is why there is no cookie banner. This page is a translation; the German version is the legally binding one.
In short
This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking services and loads no fonts or scripts from third parties, with one exception: the video on one case study, which loads nothing from YouTube until you press play. That is why there is no cookie banner. Personal data is processed only if you write to me through the form or by email.
Controller
Nico Santangelo, Wendelsteinstraße 9, 85579 Neubiberg, Germany, email nico@youex.de (see the imprint).
Hosting
The site is hosted as static pages by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (Cloudflare Workers). When a page is requested, Cloudflare processes the data technically required to serve it and protect it from attack: IP address, time, page requested and browser identifier. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and standard contractual clauses are in place on top of that. I do not evaluate access data myself.
Cookies, local storage and analytics
No cookies are set and no analytics or tracking services are used.
Two settings you choose yourself are kept in your browser's local storage: the appearance, light or dark, and the language of the site. They stay on your device, are never sent to a server, and can be cleared at any time through your browser's site data. Because they are settings you asked for, no consent is required (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG).
Video
One case study carries a recorded presentation that is hosted on YouTube. Its preview image is stored on this website and served from here, so opening the page sends nothing to YouTube or to Google.
Only when you press play is a player from youtube-nocookie.com loaded. From that moment YouTube receives your IP address and may set cookies and read information on your device. The legal basis is your consent, given by pressing play (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG). You can withdraw it by leaving or reloading the page; the player is not remembered. YouTube is operated by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. What Google does with the data is governed by its own privacy policy.
If you would rather not, the text link beside the video opens it on YouTube directly, so the decision of when to go there stays yours.
Contact form and email
The contact form sends nothing to this website. Submitting it opens a new message in your own email program with the fields already filled in, and you decide whether to send it. No data about your enquiry reaches a server here, which is also why the form needs no spam protection.
The message then arrives in my mailbox, which runs on Google Workspace (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland), and is stored there so that I can answer it (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). The same applies to anything you send me by email directly. I delete it once the enquiry is settled and nothing obliges me to keep it.
